USA: the merits of François-Dominique Delafosse recognized by the American Congress

Africa-USA relations put in the spotlight with the recognition of François-Dominique Delafosse by the American Congress.

Indeed, this citizen of the world received, on October 8, 2021, a Certificate of Special Recognition from the Congress, which thus salutes the merits of this “exceptional business leader who has largely contributed to strengthening trade relations between the African continent and the United States ”, according to the document which bears the signature of Sylvia R. Garcia, member of the American Congress.


John Fetterman, Senate Candidate, Revisits Gun Incident Involving Black Jogger

At the height of protests last year over police violence against Black people, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, John Fetterman, called for police officers to be better trained to defuse incidents when those involved did not threaten public safety.

“We must fall on the side of de-escalation every time,” Fetterman wrote, citing his experiences as mayor of the town of Braddock, outside Pittsburgh.

As freezing temperatures settled over Kansas City, Missouri, on Jan. 28, Judge Jack Grate opened his online courtroom. The first of 100 cases on his docket was that of Tonya Raynor, a 64-year-old who owed $2,790 in back rent and fees on an apartment on the city’s east side, a swath of vacant storefronts and boarded-up properties.
