US bans cotton and tomato products from China's Xinjiang region over forced labor concerns

The US has banned imports of cotton products and tomatoes produced in China's Xinjiang region over forced labor concerns, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said on Wednesday.
The agency said the region-wide ban was "based on information that reasonably indicates the use of detainee or prison labor and situations of forced labor," saying it had found examples of debt bondage, restriction of movement, isolation, intimidation and threats, withholding of wages, and abusive living and working conditions.

McConnell remains undecided on convicting Trump in Senate trial

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told his GOP colleagues in a note Wednesday afternoon that he remains undecided whether he'll vote to convict President Donald Trump at his coming impeachment trial.

"While the press has been full of speculation, I have not made a final decision on how I will vote and I intend to listen to the legal arguments when they are presented to the Senate," McConnell said.

Stevie Wonder released two new songs Tuesday with the launch of his new label, So What the Fuss Records.

The legendary recording artist held a virtual press conference Tuesday to announce his new music, marketed and distributed by Republic Records, which is part of Universal Music Group. The move marks a break from Wonder's nearly 60-year career with Motown.
