Netanyahu hits out at Iran after Syria friendly fire incident

APRNEWS - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday Israel will defend itself against Iran, after a friendly fire incident in Syria this week linked to Israeli strikes on Iranian targets there.

Syria accidentally downed a Russian plane late Monday, killing all 15 people on board, the same evening Israel launched strikes in the war-torn country.

Syria state media says U.S. bombs military positions but Washington issues denial

REUTERS - Syrian state media said on Monday that U.S.-led coalition aircraft bombed an army position in the east, causing deaths and injuries, but the U.S. military denied it was responsible.

The attack took place in al-Harra, southeast of the town of Albu Kamal, state media said citing a military source. There were no immediate details on casualties.

Netanyahu hails US policy on Iran, calls on world to back

THEGUARDIAN - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday hailed the United States’s policy on Iran and urged the rest of the world to follow suit.

The US policy is correct. Iran is spreading aggressively throughout the Middle East. It aspires to achieve nuclear weapons by various means,” Netanyahu said as he met Paraguayan President Horacio Cartes in Jerusalem.
