Israeli forces in manhunt for attackers who killed settler

AFP - Israeli forces set up roadblocks and deployed around a major Palestinian city in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday in a manhunt for attackers who shot dead an Israeli settler.

Raziel Shevah, a 35-year-old rabbi, was killed late Tuesday while driving near the wildcat settlement where he lived, Havat Gilad near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Nigeria, neighbours in joint op against Boko Haram leaders

AFP - Four west African states have launched a major offensive against the Boko Haram jihadist group in Nigeria, the military said on Tuesday.

Soldiers from Nigeria and the neighbouring countries of Cameroon, Chad and Niger are targeting a Boko Haram faction led by Abubakar Shekau in the Sambisa Forest, and another led by Mamman Nur, on and around Lake Chad.
